Community

Investing in local people, places and priorities

This is more than just a housing development. It’s a well-planned neighbourhood that reflects the character of its surroundings while responding to the needs of future generations. By delivering a balanced mix of homes, we aim to support North East Lincolnshire’s long-term growth, ensuring it remains a vibrant and welcoming place for all.

The site is being designed with the whole community in mind, delivering the homes North East Lincolnshire needs while investing in the services and spaces that make a place feel like home.

Community benefits

What the site will deliver

  • A new local centre – A vibrant central focus of the new community, providing shops and services for both new and existing residents.
  • New and accessible green space – Including woodland, allotments, children’s play areas and sports pitches for walking, play and community uses. Potential enhancements to link the housing area with Weelsby Woods.
  • New walking and cycling routes – Safe, easy connections to local schools, shops and neighbourhoods – helping people get around without relying on a car.
  • Support for local transport – We’re exploring ways to improve public transport links and provide new bus connections.
  • Investment in local infrastructure – We’ll contribute funding towards education, healthcare, highways and community facilities, ensuring the development benefits the wider area, not just new residents.
  • A boost for nature and wellbeing – The development will deliver at least a 10% biodiversity net gain and create healthier places for people and wildlife to thrive.
